this is the last book i'd finished reading.
and it really means a lot. girls aren't the ones who go through all the pain. boys have their own share of beatings as well. us girls are usually brought down emotionally, things like heartbreak, lies, self-esteem.
but who are the ones who have to go to the army? who are the ones who roam the streets and get dragged into the violence, gangsterism? who are the ones who are forced to deliver drugs secretly and all those stuff? have you heard of any girls who get involved in those?
girls: dress immodestly; walk in dark alleyways; get themselves raped; cry. end result? everyone's concerned and cares about her, hoping she goes through her trauma and all that shit.when it's the consequence she deserves.
boys: family has financial difficulties; try to earn money through drug trafficking; gets caught; juvenile detention and all that shit, and everyone's got a permanent bad impression, when he was just trying to earn a living for his family.
maybe us girls keep saying some guys have got no heart and all. maybe cause the kind of pain they get is a whole lot worse than ours, so of course to them, loss of love is nothing at all.
that's what i like to think anyway.
so girls, just appreciate all the boys in your life. your brothers, your classmates, strangers. i'm not saying you treat all of them like king, but don't treat them like trash either. they have it tough as well.
for once you're here reading a comparison between boys and girls that is not about love. so, take this seriously.
