that aside, i saw this book in the Popular catalogue.
i really want it. it's something which i can relate to.
according to the sypnosis, this little boy named Kevin went on a shooting spree in his school a few days before his sixteenth birthday, killing a few people. his mother never wanted to have him, but eventually she felt her dislike for her son could be what caused him to be like that.
but before that, i've got a lot more unread books there on my desk. gotta read all those first.
shall share them with you.
set in the nineteenth century. a secret agent is called forth to investigate some murderous and monstrous events happening in Paris. this reminds me of the Exorcist movies, somehow. the setting and atmosphere.
according to the back of the book, it's actually full of photographs, like the one used as its cover. [i don't know, it's unwrapped] so the story goes, that the protagonist explored the abandoned house and believed that the children were not only peculiar, but also dangerous. and they could still be alive.
set in 1978, the protagonist goes on a quest to find out the truth about her sister's death, along the way stumbling upon revelations about their family and the lost generations.
this is the movie novel, i suppose. though i think it's silly, cause the movie is already based on the book. so why base another book on the movie? i guess. anyway, the story goes about the protagonist meeting a man when she got forced by her uncle to work as a prostitute, who saved her from that place only to satisfy his own lusts.
the tale of a man who found a ginger cat hidden in the corner of his sheltered accomodation, nursed it back to health and sent it on its way. but the cat had other ideas and the two soon became inseparable. and damn, ain't that kitty totally adorable? i've been looking at his pictures and i love how his eyes are forever in that suspicious squint. and he's always in the scarf too!
oh, and then someone got me this:
only for mature teens, they said. well screw that. anyway, it consists of stories which are probably what i'm going through too. tales of mental illness, abuse, self-destructive behaviour, family and friend issues, love gone wrong.
so for now i'm not gonna borrow anymore books from the library, cause i still have this bunch to read. i sat in the library to read my The Night Circus today, and it was a difficulty to control the temptations. the borrowing temptations, i call it.
i met with my schoolmate Hazirah to pass her a list of peribahasa. the MKI had printed them for me a year ago along with the higher MT ones. after i passed her, i started getting panicky about whether or not it was the right list! i hope it was.
it was nice to be the first few in the library, you know. just too nice. though i got paranoid because i wasn't reading a library book. i didn't know whether it was allowed or not. but in end i was like Hey, it is a library. silly me.
made my way to Popular afterwards where i got a scrapbook. the cashier gave me the catalogue as well to which i stopped her by telling her i've already gotten it. she looked so shocked! and then she smiled and said thank you.
i've no idea why she was so shocked but i think i did something right there.
i kept watching PewDie's Most Heartbreaking Game Ever. was just too funny! i mean, sad, sorry Bros. gotta looooove PewDiePie!
and then... my granny is here! i love her to bits, she's my granny, man. she got me cupcakes without icing, i love cupcakes without icing!
oh, and have i told you i like mooncakes? i left that out in my #100ThingsILike list, so sorry. but yeah, i do. heh.
gotta study tomorrow. neglected that for today, dammit. haven't done any Physics this holidays. or English. i've already touched on a little of Malay.
alright, there we go. that's all i've got to say for now. gotta looooove books and cats in scarves!
he looks like a descendant to Dewey! Dewey Readmore Books, just that he's missing the fur around the neck. both are handsome as hell, though!
and there were dozens of Dewey fanart. i know he was internationally famous when he was still alive, but i never would have thought! go, Dewey. go, Readmore Books [in more ways than one] gotta looove cats.
gonna show off my own ginger cat now. i miss my Halia! and all the other kitties too.
shall blog again as and when. goudenbaye my Axes. p.s. got a request from Syamirul to write song lyrics for him to use. gonna do my best for that!
