a soldier is still a somebody.

had spent my morning watching this amazing movie called Saving Private Ryan. it's about these four brothers who had gone to war, three of whom died in combat. eight men were sent to look for the last one and bring him back home.
it's based on a true story, actually. watched the special features that consisted the makings of the movie and all that, and they told another story about a Sullivan family.

five Sullivans had been sent to war and they all died on a ship that had sank. it was so tragic that since then, there was a rule whereby siblings cannot be on the same unit. something like that.

the movie also got me thinking of another thing.

when men are at war, they leave behind their wives and children. in their uniforms they are nothing but soldiers. when they kill, all they are thinking about is their loved ones back home.

but hey. the enemies have their own families too.

that's when i realise that soldiers at war are just the most amazing people ever. they are abundant of strength and courage. aren't they?

soldiers are brothers, sons, fathers, husbands. on the battlefield, they have to think of their own to have the strength to fight, yet they can't think of the fact that the enemies are just the same, lest they start thinking of showing mercy and that.

aside from that, the making of the movie was amazing. Steven Spielberg is cool, alright!

ok then. i am going to do a little bit of studying right now. have i shown you these?
they're highlighters! adorable, aren't they? they were gifts. i told you, i'm mad for stationery and reading material. i will feel naked without any in zee poly life!

speaking of poly, i feel so appreciative for all the little newsletters they'd sent me through the mail. so far i'd gotten RP, TP, and NP. i'd like one from SP because there's a course in there that i'd really, really like to go!

alrighty. goudenbaye mo Axis (;

it's drizzling!
